The publishing house Cercle d’Art has this tradition of developing monographs with a painting which has been created especially for the cover of the book. I abided gladly by this rule and decided to create a series of paintings dedicated to covers.

For me it was also an interesting aesthetic project, because on this series I had to explain who I am. It’s also a way to present myself, to check in on my work, to reflect on past series. I asked Philippe Marin to build 10 frames which are proportional to the cover of the book. We’re a little bit bigger than the book, but it respects the proportions of the book. We’re going to have the book cover divided in 3 parts: the back cover, the spine and the front cover.
